Go UseTech Community Innovation and Digital Skills Hub
Description
Go UseTech is an innovation hub that trains and empowers youth, women, and refugees to create local solutions using technology. Our teams develop locally made products such as soil moisture sensors, drones, small airplanes, smart walking sticks, electric fans, and eco-friendly shopping bags to replace polythene. We also offer computer and digital marketing training to help small businesses grow online. The innovation combines skills development, creativity, and sustainability to improve livelihoods and protect the environment.
Impact
Go UseTech has trained over 1000 youth, women, and refugees in computer, innovation, and vocational skills—helping them create jobs, improve productivity, and generate income. Through our innovation groups, learners design locally made machines such as soil moisture testers and smart walking sticks, and produce eco-friendly paper bags to reduce plastic waste. The project empowers communities with hands-on innovation experience, promotes environmental protection, and supports Uganda’s vision of a technology-driven economy.
