Skooli Technologies Ltd.

Education ICT Pilot
Description

Skooli is Uganda’s first national education logistics platform that ensures every student, especially in boarding schools, receives essential supplies, meals, and digital allowances directly through a secure system. Parents shop school-approved items via mobile app or USSD, and Skooli delivers directly to the school — reducing stress, inefficiency, and inequality. The platform integrates logistics, AI forecasting, and mobile finance to build sustainable education infrastructure. Schools can manage procurement digitally, and parents can send controlled digital pocket money. Skooli restores dignity, saves time, and improves access for millions of families while collecting valuable data to inform education policy and supply planning.

Impact

Skooli creates lasting social and economic impact by transforming how Ugandan families, schools, and suppliers interact within the education ecosystem. Socially, it restores dignity and equity in education. Students—especially girls in rural areas—receive consistent access to essential supplies and menstrual hygiene kits, reducing absenteeism and improving retention. Parents gain peace of mind and financial control through digital wallets, while schools benefit from transparent procurement and efficient management systems. Economically, Skooli drives local production and job creation. By sourcing goods from local suppliers and retailers, the platform strengthens small businesses and regional supply chains. Reduced transport and transaction costs mean families save more, while schools operate more efficiently. At scale, Skooli contributes to national productivity by turning fragmented education logistics into a coordinated infrastructure — supporting Vision 2040’s goals of inclusive growth, innovation-driven employment, and wealth creation.
