Abram Access

Health Pilot
Description

ABRAM Access is a digital health platform that connects patients to licensed doctors through WhatsApp or phone calls. With a monthly subscription, families can consult their doctor anytime without visiting a clinic. It helps doctors earn directly from their patients while giving families affordable, continuous access to medical care. The goal is to make quality healthcare as easy and accessible as chatting on WhatsApp.

Impact

ABRAM Access is creating new income opportunities for doctors by allowing them to earn directly from their patients without relying on hospital jobs. It also reduces healthcare costs for families, making it easier for people to consult qualified doctors instead of self-medicating or delaying care. By using WhatsApp, it brings medical access closer to communities, saves transport costs, and supports better health outcomes. Overall, it strengthens household productivity and promotes inclusive digital health in Uganda.

Target Audience

The main beneficiaries are families and individuals who need affordable, reliable access to doctors, especially in urban and peri-urban areas. Doctors also benefit by earning flexible income through direct patient subscriptions. Additionally, small businesses, SACCOs, and community groups can use the platform to provide healthcare access for their members or employees.
