production of SLES, - Surfactant in Uganda

Manufacturing Pilot
Description

this is a great innovation started and led by me. this project is objected at manufacturing SLES - Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate a surfactant used in making detergents and soap. in Africa, this material (product) is just being imported and never been processed on this continent. the project involves use of locally available raw materials to make the product. limited by the technology, little use of machinery and advanced technology of employed. after making a lab sample and so detergent manufacturing using it , testing it in their manufacturing of soaps, it was giving satisfactory results, and so 95% sample users got passing results and positive feedback. By now have tried to set up a pilot plant still distributing to clients for use.

Impact

improved product formulation cheaper access of quality material to the consumers locally, readily available material to the users tax to the government
