Description
Safestove is an improved rocket lorena cook stove a product of Safeplan Uganda which comes with a variety of ways to cook either with briquettes/charcoal firewood or even gas in one technology making it the only multipurpose cook stove locally built here in Uganda. The technology can cook on 2 saucepan the same time saving energy and time used in making food, one type of food can be in one place and another type in the second while using the heat generated from the same source. Its designed with African households in mind from single family member to more than 10 members using the same stoves with out changing, with two cooking provision a family will make food in a very short period of time.
Impact
The clean energy cooking technology is an updated Rocket Lorena Cook stove which comes with a provision for gas as a cooking spot. As much as we distribute electric pressure cookers there are so many households still left behind coupled with affordability and access the rocket lorena is still smarter and efficient cooking technology for many Ugandans. The battery powered electric solar drier is an indoor innovation designed to help households increase the value of their agricultural products, promoting high value food preservation and transportation to the market. These technologies will improve the quality of life of Ugandans and also increase profitability in the agricultural value chain, tonnes of food is wasted while on transit from the the garden and to market.
