Feasts Farms App – Farm Management Made Easy

Agriculture Pilot
Description

Feasts Farms App is a digital farm management platform (mobile app) that enables farmers to manage their farms remotely. It enables the farmers to effectively record and track production, manage and utilize resources efficiently. Moreover, it generates detailed reports for the farmers (on farm activities, expenses, income, profits and losses) helping them make data-driven decisions. Additionally, the App links farmers with reliable input dealers, extension services, and other agricultural service providers (machineries, CSA technologies and innovations), while also bridging the gap between farmers and buyers through an online marketplace.

Impact

Feasts Farms App will improve farmers’ livelihoods by increasing farm productivity, profitability, and provide access to lucrative markets. Through the tailored E-extension services and daily advisory tips coupled with direct connection with extension service providers; real-time financial reports, farmers will be able to reduce post-harvest losses and also make informed decisions thus increasing farm productivity. It also links farmers to input suppliers and buyers, reducing exploitation and ensuring fair prices for produce. This not only improves their household incomes (SDG 1 - No Poverty) but also enhances food security (SDG 2 - Zero Hunger), and resilience against climate change (SDG 13 - Climate Action). Overall, the agricultural sector will become more appealing to investors, increasing its competitiveness and ultimately feeding the world's population, enhancing global food security.
